We have decided to make a start. And we are doing it at the source. Where the origin of everything is. We want to create and take responsibility. We are inspired by water and people. Water, which fatefully connects us because we have no choice as to whether we use it or not. And people, because they have the power to move mountains.
GRAUBÜNDEN, DIE QUELLE DER WELT!?
Isn't Graubünden the source of the world? Or to put it another way: where else do the world's springs flow? We are convinced that the sources of the world are where water flows and life is made possible. Of course, the sources of the world are not only in Graubünden. But they are ALSO in Graubünden. We want to take responsibility and show water and life the appreciation they deserve.
WASSER UND GRAUBÜNDEN?
All life in Graubünden is based on water. This applies not only to Graubünden but to the entire Alpine region. Imagine the Alps without snow, hydropower, permafrost, glaciers, forests, flowers, valleys, lakes and rivers. In short: all life is based on water.
DAS BESTE WASSER FLIESST IN GRAUBÜNDEN
Of course not. And yet, somehow it's true. We are privileged to have the "best water in the world" when we compare Graubünden with large parts of the less water-favoured world. But we don't want a Graubünden water navel show! We want to share our good fortune with others, because the water flows beyond our borders. Into the North Sea, the Black Sea, the Mediterranean. We are connected to all people via the waterways. We want to cultivate and promote this connection. Culturally, touristically, ethically, artistically and economically. And with you!
DIE WASSER-VISION AUS DEN ALPEN FÜR DIE ALPEN UND DEN REST DER WELT
With Graubünden-Wasser, we want to awaken people's desire for water and lead them to the springs.
Calma is Romansh and stands for: Calmness, serenity. For us, it also stands for respect and appreciation. - The water is a gift from heaven, a gift from the mountains. We share this gift with each other.
WIR WANDELN UNS
Society is changing - and that's a good thing. Fortunately, topics such as sustainability have become part of our everyday lives. And society, i.e. guests in hotels and restaurants, increasingly want tap water. There are many reasons for this. It tastes good, it is pleasant and it conserves resources. Tap water in Switzerland and, of course, especially at the springs enjoys an excellent reputation and has an excellent flavour.
IHR DURST LÖSCHT DEN BILDUNGSHUNGER
Part of the proceeds from Calma go towards Graubünden-Wasser's educational projects. Every year, we organise water education programmes for young people as part of the UN World Water Day in March.
THE PILOT PHASE
The pilot phase will start in summer 2022 and winter 2023 with the first hotels and restaurants, including at the Schweizerhof.
