The exhibition "Check-in Check-out. All about hospitality" at the Swiss Alpine Museum provides an insight into the controversial guest register of the Grandhotel Waldhaus and places it in relation to today's TripAdvisor review culture.
The exhibition features three audio stations where experts from the hotel industry speak: What understanding do today's hotel managers have of good hospitality? How do they deal with difficult guests?
Claudia Züllig, hostess at the Hotel Schweizerhof in Lenzerheide, Markus Marti, Director of the Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, and Claudia Schmid from the EHL hotel management school in Passugg talk about empathy, "affective hospitality", the principle of evaluation and the diverse demands placed on hosts by today's global clientele.
