Our apprentices were able to rethink their consumer behaviour and enjoy some tasty treats on the sustainability trip to Zurich. They visited the startup "Umami", which produces micro-greens in its own ecosystem and uses them to make sauces and healthy shots.
After a lunch break at the restaurant "BUNT", we went on to visit the start-up, "Fabas", which produces hummus, falafel and burgers from chickpeas, yellow peas or field beans, which are made exclusively from Swiss ingredients.
At "Konsumglobal", the learners were able to attend a workshop on the circular economy. The connections between the economy, ecology and social aspects of consumption were demonstrated and it was explained how our consumer behaviour influences the environment.
Finally, our apprentices and interns were able to enjoy an ice cream from Gelateria di Berna - a well-deserved way to cool down on this hot summer's day in Zurich.
